MS Proxy Server 2.0 and ICMP (ping)

I'm posting this question to settle the score once and for all !
I've been exchanging emails with srose6 as per whether Proxy 2.0 supports ICMP.
I never thought it did, but it turns out you can configure dynamic packet filtering to enable ICMP packets in / out.

Of course this contradicts with a few other Technet articles that say Proxy server will not filter ICMP, but I suppose that's just the way it goes.

Anyway - the points are for Steve, so this question's up here for info / discussion / argumentative purposes.
