Are you using WINS for name resolution?  If so, make sure the machine has the correct WINS server setting.

And is this an Active Directory domain, or a Win2k system in and NT4.0 domain?

So, when you say you "can get internet", I think you are trying to join your Domain trough the Internet (?)

Hi Gymbo731...Have you tried to "Ping" a known address in the other domain?? If your successful, then its a usually a communication/software setting that needs to be addressed. If not successful, then your probably looking at a hardware issue. Something not connected, or possible wrong driver for your NIC card or wrong subnet mask, wrong IP address, or possibly your gateway is not setup?? Any routers in the path?? Check router settings. This is just a few thoughts...hope this helps...

Need to make sure that you are getting the right "WINS" or "DNS" to resolve the Domain.  Also, do you have an account that has rights to join comuters to the Domain?

As well, is your Default Gateway correct?

Mirfster.

Have you ran an IPCONFIG /All?

Have a look to see if the line, NetBios over TCIP . . . . Disabled is current.

If so, check this thread out.
