Has the password on the account that the service is running on been changed?

I have tried to click the url and there is no answers to any of the problems in Microsofts database. No passwords have been changed. I have used a good Virus and spyware scanner. Only new software installed was Office 2003. This problem was always there but does not seam to hurt anything just would like for the prompt at start up to go away, which says a service or device failed to start.
please right-click your My Computer, choose Manage, go to Computer Management (Local)/Services and Applications/Services, double-click the following services to see their dependencies:
1. The Microsoft Streaming Service Proxy service
2. The Microsoft Streaming Quality Manager Proxy service
3. The Processor Driver service
let us know what kind of system components that these services depends on. BTW, was the list order of above-mentioned events just the sequence of their appearance in your event log?
the 1st and 2nd services were mentioned in your original question, as well as the 3rd one.
i am wondering if you did (unexpectedly) uninstall some software from the system, so some unused registry items (located at HKLM\System\CurrentControl
The server even when it was ver. 2000 had this error before I started working their. I have a mimic server I built with the exact same specs and ghosted os that I can play with. What should I look for in that registry key? and how can I back it up? From what I understand 2003 servers registry is different than server 2000's registry as far as backing up is concerned.
If you want to change a registry key, navigate to it and right click and hit Export - you can export it and any subkeys to a .reg file that can be imported later if you screw something up.
Saving a system state backup is a good idea if you are going to mess with services etc. Its an option under My Computer in the Windows Backup utility.
I'm looking for they keys you need, I used to have them documented.

Did you install new software on it? If not, scan for viruses with a decent scanner and for malware with a tool like AdAware (www.lavasoft.nu).
What servicepack level is your 2003 server?
