Question
Domain PC does not show up in My Network Places
I have a small Windows 2000 server running Active Directory. I have a total of 8 machines connected. All of the machines are connected to the Domain show up under Computers in Active Directory. 2 IBM Thinkpad Notebooks and 1 HP Vista Business desktop will not show up in My Network Places. All machines are XP Pro except for the 1 Vista Business machine. The version of Norton AV that is running requires machines to show up in My Netwok Places for management purposes.

Do the computers not show up in the management console of Norton (symantec) AV ? Are you trying to remotely install the AV software to the client? In that case its known that it takes a couple of minutes before the computers show up in Norton (assuming you just joined the computers to the domain).
When you browse your network via windows. Do the computers show up or not?

Greetings. Can you ping the three computers from the DC? When you joined those three to the domain, did you create an AD computer account first? How is your DNS setup? Lastly, any errors on the DC or the three computers? Thanks.
