Getting memory errors (i.e. - xxxx application error; instruction at xxxx referenced memory...memory could not be written). Different applications and memory locations. Also getting occasional blue screen errors. Ran Microsoft memory diagnostic - found errors on Dimm 2 memory, Dimm 1 ok. Removed Dimm 2 - reran diagnostic and now it is reporting errors on Dimm 1 (which was fine before!)
No apparent pattern to the errors - sometimes on reboot, sometimes while in IE. Sometimes causes PC to shut down.

Hi lbit,
Make sure the DIM contacts are clean then try them 1 at a time. If the both fail then try the other slot.
If it still does't work, you might have to slow them down or try new memory.
