After running Ethereal it popped up a few NBNS entries stating that they were looking for SERVERNAME.
I have run most of the programs that I think would ask for it.
Searched the Registry for the name and IP.
No entries in the HOSTS file (no LMHOSTS file)
No printers attached to it.
Help me please as we are trying to cut down on our network traffic and clean broadcasts and stuff.

You didn't mention if you are talking about a single pc, a pc in a workgroup or a domain?
Was the old PC your machine is looking for a DC in your Domain, or did it have any other special role?
If you look at the name query in Ethereal you should see the service it is querying for (like <00>, <03>, <20>, ...), maybe this could point to what kind of program still asks for the old machine.

Another thing to look into is regarding what applications were installed and where from. Like if MS Office was installed from a Network share, then it will hold this information. When you go to install additional OFfice components or "repair" an install, the app will try to reconnect to this residual point that no longer exists.
Off the top of your head, can you think of any apps that me have been installed that would have been from the old PDC?
