With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? "EXPERT/PE communication

Good morning,
As of last week I became the newest member of the Page editor team for EE.
One of the main jobs for a PE is assist members gettings answers to their questions. Not just answering questions but, finding help and pointing out interesting questions that need assistance.

Thursday and Friday I was doing some clean-up in this topic area (as some of you may have noticed).
In the month of November 2003, I found over 20 questions that never had any expert involvement.
I also found a few where the experts that started assisting in the question had problems and no other experts came in to help.
Currently, in this TA alone we have over 1150 open questions. I would like to get that to a reasonable number and keep it that way.

I have created this thread as a way of communication between PEs and Experts.
I am sure it will tend to get lengthy, when that happens I will create a new thread as a continuation.

Of course, this is not mandatory. But, I would like to see alot of expert 'subscription' to assist in maintaining OUR topic area.
This idea came from Jim Dettman, the PE for MS Access.

If it works well, I will try it in other TA's as well.
Without a doubt, comments and suggestions welcome.
