It happens on all systems. I have a Cisco SOHO 91 router. One Redhat 9 server. One 2003 server acting as a domain controller. 1 XP and 1 2000 WS. 10.10.10.0/

Browse All TopicsI am experiencing an error when trying to navigate to a web site. If I mistype a web address i.e http://w with nothing else I am automatically directed to the web administration interface on my Cisco Router. Is there a default value I can set somewhere so that this does not occur?

it seems your forwarders in the DNS are not set correctly
Experiment on Windows 2000 Worksatation as follows:
1. The DNS server should be the IP address of the Domain Controller
2. The gateway shoudl be th IP of SOHO router or from where you are expected to get Internet Connection.
3. The DNS Forwarders in the DNS Server Properties of the Domain Controller should be set properly.
You should not use the ISP DNS elsewhere other than the DNS forwarders try this
Please advise so that i can tell u further

is it on 1 pc or many if on 1 restart the PC if cannot restart use this command
ipconfig /flushdns
Pls advise your network topology
