How to connect LAN client from WAN

I am in a problem of sending data
packets to remote LAN client.

Actually i have a LAN in USA, and i
want to send a data packet from my machine(say A)using sockets
to a machine(say B) in that LAN.This LAN
has a server(public IP).
My machine A is also in a LAN in India.

Please tell me how can i send packets from machine A to B.

As both your LANs will probably have private IP addresses (ie 192.168.0.0 or 10.0.0.0), the most cost effective way to do this is with a VPN.

This effectively joins the private networks securely over the public internet.

Depending on your exact needs, the best method would probably be a site-to-site VPN, for which you would usually need a public IP address available at each end, and a firewall device capable of making the vpn connection. Or a couple of servers that you can configure for VPN connections.

Soory I think I misread your question -

If the server is on the LAN is the US and has a Public IP, you just need to configure that to accept client vpn connections (pptp is easiest if not the most secure if you are using a windows server - see routing & remote access)

You'd then need to just confugre a VPN connection from your machine to that servers public ip to gain full access to the US LAN
