cant access shared folders/files

i have a wireless network with a desktop and notebook connected..
from my notebook, i can access the shared folders/files in my desktop...
however from my desktop, i CANT access the shared folders/files in my notebook...
both computers have the same settings of windows firewall....
i am able to ping my notebook through my desktop but i CANT access the folders/files there..
