To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating. - The Grade of the Solution
- The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
- The Number of Author and Expert Comments
- The Number of Experts Contributing
- The Feedback of the Community
Your Input Matters Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Hello,
I'm trying to configure Outlook 2003 to connect to Exchange 2003 (on W2K3) . I'm using my laptop connected via a dialup to isolate the laptop from my LAN but still be able to observe the server. I have two Exchange servers on the LAN for two different domains (one is mine, the other, which is the one I'm working on, belongs to a client). My laptop was configured to use my Exchange server, but I deleted my server from the config and set up Outlook to use the client's server. Each server has it's own "outside" address and the DNS is correct.
When I go into the Mail control panel and added the client's server and username, when I click "check name" a logon box pops up with the name of MY server, even though I explicitly entered the clients server name! What do I have to do to make Outlook forget about my server? It even shows up when I use the /rpcdiag switch to start Outlook.
