Netbeui on XP Pro pc to acces a hard drive in a CNC machine

I need to understand more about Netbeui to access a hd that is containing jobs to process in a CNC milling machine, when i try with win98, i see the machine in my network neiberhood, on an XP pc that had been installed for 1 ½ yrs it's ok, but on 2 different pc that i installed recently, i can't seem to reach the HD. The new PC are in a domain which is different than the workgroup of the CNC machine, i tried to change the WG of the CNC machine but i can't see it.

Check the physical network hardware  menas any router /switch or cable ( cat-5e ) having the problem and then configure the workgroup network settings menas all pc's are in proper  IP range and same subnet .If you are using win98 o/s then netbeiu protocol requires not for xp system .So uninstall the norton internet security /zone alarm with firwall or mcaffe antivirus installed and disbaled the sp2 firewall .Now Hdd is installed to xp pc ..right then reshare that harddisk and aunthetication credentials to access like admin password or create the same admin user on all pc's with same password and disable the guest account and also enable the netbios in tcp/ip network settings on that pc.
