Check that the time is synchronised between your computer and the server.

I ran the w32tm /config /update command, but still did not reslove it

The blog talks about configuring a time service in your network, which is required for Active Directory.  If the clocks are in sync, then you have other issues.

I presume your server is a member of the domain.  If it is not, you won't be able to logon using domain credentials.

Following that, make sure that DNS entries are working.  Use NETDIAG and DCDIAG (both from Microsoft) to check things are correct.

have you run the network ID wizard on the client to rejoin it to the domain?

by: oandosupportPosted on 2008-01-08 at 23:29:49ID: 20616137

Yes my server is a member of the domain.

No i have not run the network ID wizard to rejoin to the domain because the server also contains some other critical applications. Is there no other way to go about it aside from rejoining back to the domain?

by: SteveH_UKPosted on 2008-01-08 at 23:39:37ID: 20616176

To log on to a domain on a particular computer, the computer must either be a member of the same domain or of a domain trusted by that domain.

by: oandosupportPosted on 2008-01-08 at 23:47:58ID: 20616206

The computer is already a member of the same domain.

Have you tried NETDIAG and DCDIAG?

by: oandosupportPosted on 2008-01-09 at 01:42:14ID: 20616603

I tired DCDIAG and it came up wit this error " the application failed to start. ISATQ.dll was not found".

I ran the Netdiag tool too. Still can't logon to the domain on the machine.

Commonly, this is due to identically named  machine accounts in the target realm , and the client realm.   Please contact your system administrator.

yah looked like it might have been lerberos - which is why the rejoin would fix it - you can use klist and kerbtray.exe to remove and rereceive a ticket - but it gets messy if you arent familir with kerberos authentication
