what type of routers?
All of our core routers are Cisco 6500 series routers
>OS version?
We run the latest stable cisco code
>do you have a dhcp helper?
Any vlan that uses our DHCP service MUST use helper addresses to know what the IP of our dhcp server is.
>are there any secondary adresses being used on the routers?
Every vlan has a single gateway address for that vlan
I am getting this error too on my XP workstation. It is dropping my putty session to the linux box which I do not recall happening until lately. When I checked my network settings, Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller, and I saw the box under Power Management, "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" checked. Umm no. Not sure why this setting is on but sure hope this resolves my problem.
