Browse All TopicsI have a user who is accessing his office PC from home using Remote Desktop Connection. Every time he accesses it, he is getting thousands of Remote Desktop Redirected Printer Doc print jobs on his PC printer queue and it is then slowing down loading personal settings when he logs again.
Thank you.

I have this same Issue and it has to be somewhere on the host side. I access the host via RDC from many clients and have the same issue. Rogue print jobs show up on many of the printers that are on the client side. Including PDF or Print To FIle printers.
I see this post is older has anyone found a solution?
I am having a similar issue with a single client using remote desktop connection frmo Windows XP to a terminal server running Server 2003. She has a HP Deskjet 6940, the driver of which is not supported in server 2003.
she has a local printer at home that she needs to be able to print to from the remote session but is unable when this item queues.
If i log in to terminal server using the domain admin account the error does not appear. There are several users at this site and she is the only one having this issue.
Has anyone actually found a solution to this problem?
I can count litereally dozens of people having the same issue in various forums but not one solution as to why this is happening?
And yes the clients need to be able to print directly so turning off the printers in the resources tab is not an option.
Thanks in advance for any assistance
I do not understand how the accepted solution is actually a solution. This issue began popping up for me last year, and I have checked back repeatedly over the last few months and have never seen anything remotely resembling a solution that actually works.
Using cute PDF on windows 7 workstations. Any time logging on using RDP - get 7 "save as" pop up windows on the local machine desktop, with "Remote Desktop Redirected Printer Doc.pdf" as the default.
Annoying and able to work around it, but would like to know why this started happening and how to resolve it.
I never found a solution, after my host was rebuilt the problem went away.
I never had a lot of time to troubleshoot, but I wonder if there are print job files hidden in
C:\Windows\System32\spool possibly deeper in a subfolder
The files would be hidden so make sure have the ability to see hidden files. Possibly even system files
REMOVE THE ACCEPTED SOLUTION! I don't know how that is listed as the solution, it is a comment. I came here looking for answers, not bullshit. I put in my CCard # thinking I would find answers, not rubbish; the internet already does well enough on that. I am cancelling my account. Obvisouly, this site is a hoax is a wrong solution sits at place for more than 3 years without updates.
See ya.

Have him disable bringing the local printers to the remote session.
Close the remote session.
Start->Run->mstsc
Options->Local Resources
Remove the check from "Printers".
Then try to login again.
