Browse All TopicsWe have Server 2008. In Active Directory user properties we can set a Logon Script to automatically map the users shared drives. If you click on the Terminal Service profile tab, there is not an option to use a different logon script. It does give an option to connect to a shared drive, but only one connection. I created a profile and set the drive mappings in the profile and then set the profile path in Terminal Service profile for the user, but when a user logs in using this profile the drives still aren't mapped. I created a script to put in the Start up folder of the profile, but the script still doesn't map the drives. What's odd here is that once a user with this profile is logged into TS, I can go to their startup folder, double-click the batch file and the drives get mapped.
How can I set up users so that they can have different mapped drives depending on whether they are logged into their workstation or logged into Terminal Server?

In your regular logon script, you can simply compare the computer name with the name(s) of your terminal server(s), and then map accordingly.
In batch, for example, assuming the names of your terminal servers are starting with "TS":
