Is there a tool for checking to see if a host is listening on a specific network TCP/IP port?

I'm trying to remotely connect to a Windows XP Pro computer and I do have an end to end TCP/IP connectivity. I need to prove to the other user that port 3389 is blocked (this is my suspicion) as I can connect via telnet and using other remote connectivity apps.

I was hoping to use a utility that proves whether a port is maybe blocked by a router as an example.Start Free Trial
