Ok, I see. Unfortunately, I got bad news :

I already knew it, but found it explained in the above link. I think you'll trust a real IR developer better than me who just happened to toy with IR a couple years ago.
<quote>
Generally speaking these onboard IR modules are IrDA devices. IrDA Devices are not suitable for remote control purposes. They use a different frequency of light and where never designed to decode remote control signals. There is a slim chance that your IrDA device will work with Girder 3.0, if so then this Unsupported IrDA driver for Girder 3.0 plugin might be it. For Girder 3.2 or higher we have no plugin. If you feel that you can improve this driver feel free to contact me otherwise do not ask questions about it in the forum nor send an email to Ron. If you ask about how to get IrDA to work anyway expect a VERY short reaction as questions about IrDA are getting on my nerves.

In short, IrDA is _not_ meant for that job ("use a different frequency of light and were never designed to decode remote control signals"). You could try to find more information about the mentioned plugin, and see how it works. But at best, you'll get a non-reliable solution. I would look into purchasing or building a "proper" IR interface...
Thanks, appreciated, though I'm not here for points, just trying to help. As said, I spent a couple of days on the topic a couple years ago, so I know it's tough. FYI, I gave up.
If you want to give it a try, contact Girder's author and ask him to give you the source code of this IrDA.dll. If need be, I can try to help improving it with you. But honestly, there are very few chances that we're gonna come up with something stable and good enough...
Good luck.

Hi anAKiN,
> I tried to make a PC Pilot program working with IRDA.
I have a first question : do you understand correctly that you want to use the remote-control of your TV (or an universal one) to "pilot" your PC ? In other words, are you trying to do something similar to Girder http://www.girder.nl ?
