Will incoming call be deactivated on attaching GPRS?

Hello,

I have noticed a behaviour that while my mobile rings on an incoming call, if I try to attach GPRS using the AT command AT+CGATT=1, then the incoming call is dropped. The mobile is GPRS class B.

Just wanted to know whether this is an expected behaviour for a GPRS class B mobile?

NO I think this is not normal behaviour becos Class B mobile phones can be attached to both GPRS and GSM services, using one service at a time. Class B enables making or receiving a voice call, or sending/receiving an SMS during a GPRS connection. During voice calls or SMS, GPRS services are suspended and then resumed automatically after the call or SMS session has ended. SO, Dropping of call may be an accident..
This is the behavour of class C device, becos in C class user has to manually switch between GPRS and GSM,

Thanx Virender! But, is there anyway you can point me to any 3gpp specs which describe this scenario specially?

In fact, i have been testing the UbiNetics GPRS(class B) module, and that is when i found this. Just wanted to know whether this is a bug or an expected behaviour.
