Check wireless signal strength

I am looking for a tool that I can walk around with that measures the wireless signal strength in a building.  Does anyone know if a tool like this exists?  Looking for something that is $500 or less.

You could just walk around with a laptop that has a wireless NIC in it.  You might have to refresh the available connections once in a while for it to find the new access points that come into range, but once you see the connection it should refresh the signal strength periodically.

I would recommend netstumbler. It's free and it gives you signal to noise ratio. Or you could buy WirelessMon. It's under $50 and it allows you to import a floor plan of your building and walk around and click on it and it plots signal strength in different colors. This is nice for a picture of what your singal strengths look like. Clients love pretty colors !!!! LOL

That would probably be my option to fall back on if I can't find something that does it.  If I were to do that does anyone know any software that would have more info?  Preferable for a OS X
