Hi,
I have recently moved into a new housing estate, and my neighbour has offered to share their wifi connection with me (split the cost). I am wanting to know if there is such a product I can use (linksys, dlink, belkin?) that is a router that has a wifi card as the wan interface. So that the WAN port of the router would be in my neighbours IP range and then my network would be in its own secure zone.
eg. Wifi Interface of my router would be 192.168.1.50 and then the LAN interface would be 192.168.5.0/24 (my network address). The only way I have thought this could be done is to setup a dedicated PC with a NIC and a WLAN card. And then share the connection out to my pc's through the NIC. The reason for this is mainly security. The Wifi interface (if such a device exists) would have to support WEP authentication.
Any suggestions?
THanks,
mC
