Browse All TopicsMy laptop has an active wireless connection and a ethernet connection. Whenever I have both connected the laptop automatically defaults to the wireless, which is not as fast. How can I set my connections up so that if both are connected, Ehternet will get first priority?

Another easier way to try and MAY do the trick is:
Start > Settings > Network COnnections.
When the window has opened the top menu bar you should see Advanced. Click it and it will drop down.
Click on Advanced Settings...
In the top Connections box you should see your wireless and wired connections. Move the wired connection to the top by clicking that connection and moving it to the top.
This puts it first in the list for network connections and services.
