Yes, I only plan WWAN. I will test this within the next couple of days (don't have machine in front of me right now) and report back. Hope it works!
Thanks!

Browse All TopicsI have a Sony SZ series notebook with built-in Sprint WWAN. Currently I have to do the following steps to connect to the Internet via Sprint WWAN:
1) Turn On WWAN (this disables WiFi) using the included SmartWi software
2) Click Connect
I need to setup this notebook in a remote location (high upon a crane actually, where there is no human) and have remote access to it via the Interent. I've tested it and it works fine using Sprint WWAN.
BUT... if something happens and the computer needs to be rebooted, it won't automatically turn on WWAN and reconnect.
Is there a way (3rd-party software perhaps) to set the computer to automatically turn on and connect to WWAN upon Windows boot (and, if possible, re-connect if dropped for some reason)???
Thanks!

Disable the WZC service from services. Locate the Sprint service and set its startup type as "Allow service to interact with desktop". This should work with the flip side that whenever you need to use the inbuilt wireless card you will have to manually turn it on from services but I am assuming you intend to use only the WWAN card for internet.
