maximum wireless security for a big family?

Hi
I'm moving house and would like maximum wireless security possible. I'll buy 3-4 desktops and another 2 laptops. They all access Internet via a wireless router which connects to a broadband modem.

How can i ensure maximum security possible? I've heard that crackers are targeting wireless and there are many programs online which can break into computers that use wireless connection.
