I have a WRT54G running Tomato (primary), and a WRT54G-TM (repeater) running DD-WRT Mega both have big 9db antennas.
The primary router is sitting in my 2nd floor window of my apt, but I cannot see the signal in my neighbors house 70feet across an open yard on the 1st floor.
I've angled the antennas to direct the normal waves, and I've tried increasing the TX power, but nothing.
I tried installing the repeated in the window of the other apt, and it's getting an SNR of 5-15 and cuts out too often to be of any use.
What other settings should I change to improve this situation?
