Cannot print from a Laptop using a different router with different subnet to a network printer using another router

Dear Experts-Exchange experts!

Thank you for you extremely important help that you have been providing to us, IT-experts also, but with some limited knowledge in certain IT related issues. Many time you've really helped us out of a "ditch" through your advices.

I've got a following problem!

I need to be able to get the Laptop computers in my friend's home to be able to  print to a Network Printer. And the issues that is causing me problems, that the routers that they are using are located in separate rooms, on in the "Computer room" and the other one approximate 5-7 meters away in another room.  The wired connection between the routers wouldn't be preffered by my friend.

The Internet connection has been provided by the Thomson TG789 router with 100 mb/s Internet Speed.

The Laptops have a wireless connection to the Thomson TG789 router and can access the Internet through Thomson TG789.

The Network printer is connected through a wired RJ-45 connection to a Buffalo Airstation G54 router. One workstation has been connected to the Buffalo Airstation G54 router too, a wired connection has been used to connect it.

Thomson TG789 is providing the Laptops the IP address range of something like 84.xx.xx.xx and the NAT has been disabled in Thomson TG789 router.

NAT has been enabled in the Buffalo Airstation G54 Router and the router is running in "Router" mode providing the workstation and Network Printer with a subnet 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

How to connect the Thomson TG789 to Buffalo Airstation G54 router in order to be able to print from the Laptops without having to connect the 2 routers using a wired connection.

Looking forward to Your answers, You experts of the Experts-Exchange website.

Thank you for your kind advices.

The problem with the routers are, that they of a different brand, one in Thomson and the second one is a Buffalo Airstation. That's why in cant use them in WDS mode, as they are not compatible with each other and I would think that Thomson doesn't even have the WDS.

I have another friend who purchased similar kind of Thomson router and in his case, I connected two Buffalo Airstation WHR-300G V2 routers to Thomson and used them in WDS mode. But that fellow didn't have the Network printer, so the main thing was to get the internet connection working to two Workstation that were having a wireless connection and I was able to get it done.

So if I would apply the same method here, so I would connect Thomson to Buffalo Airstations that are in WDS mode, and thus the Network printer would the connected to one of them and the Laptops too, and thus there would be no problem to get the Laptops printing to the Network printer. The similar approach to this problem, as was recommended by masnrock.

If I stick to original routers, so maybe the solution suggested by jackieman, could work.

Thank you for your reply!

Only one of the routers has a internet connection, and the one that has it, has NAT disabled.

I would deem all these replies helpful in their own way to help me to fix the issue, so therefore I would give an A.
