cisco wap 1142 with a cisco 2500 controller

I have a several 1142 waps and a 2106 controller running 7.0.240 all working ok, I am trying to upgrade to a cisco 2504 controller but it does not see the waps on the network. I have configured the new controllers ip address in the waps but they are not being picked up by the new controller. any ideas ?

Can you post the config from the 2504 by issuing show run-config commands at the CLI?

Can you ping the 2504 from the 2106?

yes. i managed to get 1 of the waps to connect to the controller but it keeps re-booting. it keeps trying to join the old controller even though i have configured it form the new one. it does see the new one when booting.
What version of code do you have on the 2504?

Ok glad you sorted it.

For future reference if you configure mobility between the two WLCs you can move them using the HA tab like you did in the beginning.
