Question

Simple Bluetooth Program

Asked by: tjo

Hi,

I've been hunting around for a simple Bluetooth app which has no UI or anything, just connects to another bluetooth device.

I'm using the Ericsson Application & Training Toolkit which comes with an API and examples, but not being a VC++ programmer i'm totally lost.

Can anyone help me on this?

On another note, is there a free Java library for Bluetooth out there somewhere which is available now?  I'd definitely prefer to do this in Java.

Thanks.

Hi Havman,

I do appreaciate you sending me the code, but unfortunately it did not work with the stack i had so i spent the next 3 months in a panic trying to finish my thesis on time (it was 2 months late already by that stage), and so i really wasn't thinking of much else.

So here is your very long overdue and well deserved thanks.

If you want, one of the admins can award you all the points you want from what i have.  People like you make this site work.

But i do take offence on my ethics being attacked without you being aware of my situation.  There are always two sides to the story and i hope in future you would inquire first before going in with both barrels loaded.

Reagrds,

Tjo.

Havman56

I have a question open from 07/30/2003 worth 500 points since I need some source code (C++) for implementing a bluetooth application to talk between my PDA (Ipaq 3870 WinCE3.0) and desktop PC with 3com USB dongle

maybe you can have a look at the question since your code (and stack if needed) might solve my problem

Thanks
