The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Virtual Com Port question (Bluetooth).

I`m developing a program on an IPaq 3870 (WinCE 3.0).
I want to send a datastream from one device to another
device using Bluetooth. I have made it so my program
establishes a Serial Port Connection between 2 devices.

But i`m having problems using the Virtual Com Ports.
I use CreateFile function to open COM8 port which is the
outbound com port.

hCommPort = CreateFile (_T("COM8:"), GENERIC_READ |
GENERIC_WRITE, 0,NULL,OPEN_EXISTING,0,NULL);

The problem is that i don`t know how to receive data and
handle that data when it arrives.

I send data using WriteFile. My program shall be both a
client and server, so both IPaq`s will run my program so
that they can send and receive data from each other.

I guess that the IPaq who starts the Serial Port
Connection will have access to COM8 and the IPaq who
accepts the connection will have access to COM7. If this
is true i don`t know how i can get my program to work as
client and server at the same time.
