Why is Bluetooth Authenitcation Agent Running?

Asked by desertratr in Bluetooth, Windows XP Operating System

For some reason the Bluetooth authentication agent is running at Startup.  It is listed under MSConfig with a check mark.  And the Run key shows it there.

I can't think of any reason I need Bluetooth.  I was screwing around trying to get my Smartphone to sync using Bluetooth, a total disaster.  I have no other BT apps running that I know of.  Any reason I can't disable that auto Startup?  Is the BT authentication agent used for anything else?  Start Free Trial
