The problem has nothing to do with what computer I use. The keyboard just will not go into Discoverable mode. And yes, I did try it on another computer.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI got this keyboard yesterday and got it to sync once. However, something went wrong and it wasn't accepting any input. So, I removed the pairing and was going to try to re-discover the device. However, I can't get the keyboard to go into discoverable mode. I hold down the button to put it in discoverable mode and nothing happens. I've held it down for 5 seconds as well as 30. I turned it off and back on, I removed the batteries, but it won't go into discoverable mode any more. Any ideas?

Actually, we had the same problem with this keyboard pairing with a Precision laptop. After pushing the button on the bottom of the keyboard, the indicator would blink on the keyboard. At that point, we had to enter the device manager (Devices and Printers) and choose "add device". The Precision picked up the keyboard and supplied a new, generated passcode. We entered the passcode using the bluetooth keyboard and it connected.

is it on XP or greater? I had some major problems installing a dell bt keyboard/mouse on a win2000 pc once. Try it on a different pc to rule out a defective keyboard or fob.
