Dear all,
I ve to develop a GPRS-oriented mobile application. I should be able to control a remote device (say a home appliance) using a GPRS-enabled mobile phone. The mobile phone should act as a remote control device. ( say we should be able to control home appliance from office)

The home appliance would be connected to a pc with internet access ( pc with an IP address).

     So first of all I want to know how is it possible to establish a communication between a GPRS enabled mobile phone and pc attached to the home appliance?
     I read that we may have to use AT commands. I am new to this field and dont know anything about GPRS, AT commands etc. So plz help. Is that the best and easy method?
      Should we use Bluetooth for communication?
     At the pc, what kind of application has to be developed. Should we create a socket application?
     Is there any prefered mobile device which is best suited for this application.
     In mobile phone, Where to store the programs? I mean is there any memory available to install our programs/ applications.
     What protocol has to be used for this communication?
     How to start the development? Which is the appln that has to be developed first?

Plz help at the earliest. I am running out of time.
