Question

Nokia 30 AT Command for Service Provider

Asked by: merx

Does the Nokia 30 have an AT Command to know the Service Provider? I have installed the Configurator (from CD) and its detecting Smart (Philippines) as its provider. Im just thinking what AT call will be used.... Im going through all the commands in the AT manual version 2.0 just in case....

A reply is very much appreciated. :)

AT+COPN

should give you a list of operators

AT+COPS=?

gives you the list of operators in the network : home network, networks referenced in the SIM card and the others

AT+COPS?

should give you the ID of the currently used operator (when registered of course)

at+cops?

+COPS
0,2,"51505"

this was the reply after I issued at+cops? ..

This was from the manual :

<mode>,<format>,<oper>

<oper> is in the following format:

The numeric format is the GSM Loction Area Identification number (refer to GSM 04.08 10.5.1.3) which consists of a three BCD digit country code coded as in ITU-T E.212 Annex A, plus a two BCD Digit network code, which is administration-specific; a returned <oper> shall not be in Binary Coded Decimal, but in IRA characters converted from BCD; hence the number has the following structure: (country code 3)(code code digit 2)(country code digit 1)(network code digit 2)(network code digit 1)

.... but, I live int he philippines and the country code here is 63 .. ? 63 is not even in "51505".. any ideas why this is so?

tnx for future responses..
