I dont know any links to that info.
But in few words: GSM, GPRS and UMTS are mobile telephony systems.
GSM 2nd generation, GPRS 2,5 generation and UMTS 3rd generation. Obviously the last one is the newest and the "best", but it's still in development, one of this "mobile phones" is about the size of a surcase.
GSM has the SMS ability, GPRS has the same plus packet sending at around 50kbps, i dont know exactly the speed, but it's higher than GSM (9600bps), depending on the countries, not many networks support GPRS. And UMTS, that's in the future, it supports speed up to 2Mbps (but that will be in the best of the best of the situations, usually will be much lower) so with video capabilities and that stuff.
CDMA is Collision Detect/Multiple Access .. that has nothing to do with telephony, is the "technology" used by Ethernet. Every computer is connected to the same BUS, but they cant send at the same time, so they have to detect collisions if 2 computers transmit at the same time. Multiple accesss, well, several computers sharing the same bus.
EDGE is a PMR (private mobile radio), like one of the big telephony operatos (AT&T, Vodafone, ...) but private, you have to deploy antennas and the infrastructure.
