The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Fews questions, would appreciate if you could answer them one by one /point by point.
kindly shows me the steps in details how to achieve the followings..Thanks alot.
will appreciate greatly.

1. Pls correct my understanding. That is
a)when i send sms using my handphone , it goes to my subcribed telco's SMSC via air space?
b)The smsc will then process the message and send out to my intended recipent' handphone via its antenna/gsm modem?

2. Can i substitute my intended recipient handphone with a 'GSM modem'? meaning i send out a message
and it travels to my telco's smsc follow by my intended 'gsm modem'  and not a recipient handphone?
if that is possible, how does the my telco 's smsc recognise or direct the message to  my 'gsm modem'? wat volume can my 'gsm modem' handle?

3. If point 2 is possible, can i then connect the 'gsm modem ' to a PC and route the message through the internet and to be processed by another pc? where can i get the software?

4. can i send message using my 'gsm modem' to my subscribed telco smsc and eventualy reached my intended recipient ? how does my telco's smsc recognise or accept my sending 'gsm modem'?

5. i saw a number in my handphone, i presume is my subscribed telco's smsc number. if i were to change this number to another telco smsc number. will it work? if not why?

Hope to get your reply asap. Thanks .. is rather urgent.

cheers
alan
