Cisco Aironet with Microsoft IAS RADIUS

I need to configure an Aironet 1200 series WAP for authentication via RADIUS. I'm using Microsoft IAS on Server 2003.

I've setup a test environment, but the WAP does not authenticate. Several blogs seem to indicate that in order to get this work, IAS needs a certificate in order to authorize wireless clients. Is this so? I know that the EAP option is requiring some certificate.
