Wap vs 3g
I just want to get some clarity on the difference between these 2 - do they both do the same thing, but 3g is the new kid on the block - or would you have a 3g phone that accessed the net using wap -
Wap i know is slow - dial up speed but 3g is much quicker right !
Is 3g actually running at the moment ( i have another post that says 3g boradband is in developement ) but what about standard 3g - and what speed is standard 3g.
If I am trying to write websites for mobiles do I need to be concerned about finding out if the phone uses 3g or wap

Its makes on differences if your wap site visitors is using 3g, gprs or edge, its the only way to access the mobile web.
Yeh, edge and 3g are faster.
But if you develop your mobile site according to standards, you don't need to be concern about it.
