The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

setting up linksys WAP45G with 2k3 RADUIS server

Asked by bloodywicked in Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), Windows 2003 Server

Tags: , ,

hello everyone,

I'm trying to set linksys WAP45G AP with a WAP-enterprise (RADUIS Server).  and for some reason, i keep getting the error "Authentication Failed" on the client side.

Installed an IAS on the same server as my AD and DNS server.  I added the linksys AP as RAUDIS client, and setup the policy to work with EAP(PEAP) MS-CHAP2.  I also setup the client (XPPROSP2) the same way.

i created a Self SSL Cert via ISS Recourses tool, and i'm able to view the cert during the wireless setup.  System times are all sync, and AD users, and computers are setup correctly (at least i think so).

I also enabled the Wireless Cert machine for workstation authentication in the Default GPO, and restarted the client a few times, but still no luck.  the strange part is i get no errors on the server side nor on XP side in the event log, and i'm currently super stuck.

I know this may be sort of vage, but any help would be greatly appreciated.  I justed that use RADUIS for our wireless at work, and my boss assign the project to me (and i'm starting to look like i don't have a clue of what i was talking about ... Experts to the rescue please).

Thank you,
