The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Wireless keeps disconnecting on certain wireless network

I have recently got a new company laptop, a Lenovo ThinkPad T61.
It has a built in wireless adapter - Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AG

The laptop is fine at work, it connects to the wireless network with no trouble.
At home however, it is near impossible to keep a connection for more than one minute.
The wireless will just suddenly disconnect, and immediately reconnect again - this is obviously extremely annoying.

I have found a workaround in that if I put on a streaming radio show or something, the connection persists.

The strangest thing is that the home network is fine for everyone else. My brother's Sony laptop, my Mum's Dell and my Dad's IBM all work without any problems.

This problem is very frustrating, and I really cannot work it out. I have updated the wireless adapters drivers, and tried (unsuccesfully however) to upgrade the router firmware.

The router I am using is a Billion BIPAC-7402G.
