unable to connect to domain

we recently replaced an xp machine on our network and when we attempted to login, it wouldn't join the domain. we joined ok. now, one at a time each machine on the network has to be unjoined and rejoined when we log in. how are we losing connectivity. this has happened on about 10 machines. there have been no changes to the server which is running 03 with sp 2. hanks for your help
