Numeric field to text, AS400 query

I am building a query in the our AS400. I need to creat a unique ID. I need to take one text field and 2 numeric fields and bring them togeather to creat the unique ID. I know that I must change the numeric field into a text field. I am trying to do this in Define Results. I am not having any luck, I just do not know how. After I am able to change the fields into text then I need to know how to bring them together. I am hoping the it is just like bringing a lastname and firstname together.
