AS400 iSeries V5R3
File Shares have been created and mapped to from PC's on the network.
The shares are set to "No maximum number of users."
We've been working fine for over a year now without any problems with people connecting to the shares. Recently we have had a slight increase in the number of users accessing 3 separate folder shares (from about 5 to maybe 10 users, it's a very small network). A few users, including me, have gotten this error message when trying to connect to various shares on the AS400:
"An error occurred while reconnecting to R: \\OUR_AS400\SHARE_FOLDER
Microsoft Windows Network : Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again. This connection has not been restored."
There is one user that connects to one of the shares from multiple PC's, but he's not having any problems. When I try to connect I get that error message, even though I am certain that my user name is not being used from any other location.
Has anyone else run across this problem?
Thank you very much for your help!
