How can I mount a Windows drive on bootup without having a window popup

Asked by plq in Apple Operating Systems, AppleScript

On a mac we've added a folder on a windows share to be loaded on bootup. This is done using the "Account" > "My Account" > "Login Items" screen, we added an item of type "folder" to the "These items will open automatically when you log in:" list

We clicked the "Hide" checkbox but still it pops up a file list of whats on the share when you log on.

How can I mount the share without it popping up ?

thanks
