RTOS as in real-time operating systems? Or something else?
If so - are you sure C and Programming Languages are good areas for it?

If you really mean the Real-time OS, you may find these interesting:
http://www.linuxdevices.com/articles/AT4627965573.html - Basic concepts of real-time operating systems by David Kalinsky
http://www.netrino.com/Embedded-Systems/How-To/RTOS-Selection/ - How to Choose a Real-Time Operating System by Michael Barr
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_time_operating_system gives enough pointers that can be followed and most of the followups have enough articles linked...

Other from this - really depends on what kind of work you are searching for and what is your background...

i am from embedded back ground and i want to attend interviews that deals with the RTOS
so share some document or link to info regarding that
or please tell which area i need to log the question

by: VenabiliPosted on 2008-08-22 at 03:09:40ID: 22288165

I gave you a few links and they have some pointers to other links inside of them:) Also keep in mind that a lot of the documents won't be available on the internet...

What kind of job? Developing RTOS or administating one? Had you ever used a RTOS and if so - which one? Had you ever been part of developing a RTOS or any OS at all?

by: prasad2315Posted on 2008-08-22 at 05:26:22ID: 22289037

no i have not in any OS development team .i am in to aplication development and i ahve knowledge of RTOS concepts
i am prearing for the interviews and i need to answer the interviewer.
i need so frequently asked  question in RTOS/OS

by: VenabiliPosted on 2008-08-22 at 05:40:12ID: 22289131

You did not answer what type of job you are looking at - developing a RTOS or supporting one?

See the links i posted - most of the common questions are there. Other from this - I would expect things like "Differences between RTOS and OS in memory management/ structure/whatever?", "Whne you would pick a RTOS over another system and why?", "When you cannot use RTOS?" and so on.

If you have a univercity library nearby you may want and check there as well - I had seen a few thesises on RTOS but non is abailable online...

Looking at my shelf, the only RTOS books that I still keep are:
Real-Time Systems: Scheduling, Analysis, and Verification by Albert M. K. Cheng  (even though it is not exactly for OS, it is quite a nice one and helped me make my report a few years ago)
Simple Real-time Operating System: A Kernel Inside View for a Beginner by Chowdary Venkateswara Penumuchu - this one got published some time last year I believe and although I did not like some parts of it, I liked it as a whole.

If you expect to find a large repository of questions and data as you find for the more common topics, it won't happen. However - some of the common questions for any OSs will come up (mainly in the context of "what is different" ) so you may want to really get into reading about the differences (starting from the wikipedia article and following links and articles)

This is not what you started off asking :) So do you want to go to an interview so you can get hired for such job or you want to start learning now?

Anyway- see the two books I posted above and all the links. If you want I can see what else I have in my notes as books?

by: prasad2315Posted on 2008-08-25 at 23:15:45ID: 22311971

yes i want ot get hired for the rtos jobs

i need some material that can give clear understaning of the rtos concepts with programing examples

by: VenabiliPosted on 2008-08-26 at 02:30:41ID: 22312822

prasad2315,

The two books above contain exactly this.
The links above contain a lot of materials and a tone of additional links

If you expect a simple tutorial on the net as such exist for Java or C++, such a thing does not exist.
