i have one serverA (windows 2000 server) D drive contains some shared folders with subfolders . I recently moved all these folders to a new server B (windows 2003 R2) on the D drive, using robocopy command , i was able to retain all permissions which i had on my old serverA.
Now i have configured my Server B to host a root dfs for the drive D and made a replica to another server Server C.
what i am looking at is, i need to make a script using robocopy which i will be running on the server A to replicate D-Drive folders and files changes to the new location of my Server B drive. (replication only needed from Server A to server B)

you can also run the robocopy command on a schedule , the script is only a tool to execute the command.
So create a scheduled task e.g. once a day will executing robocopy <source> <destination> /MIR /SEC /LOG....
Note: To create such a task you should first create the task with just pointing to the robocopy.exe as command to execute....
After the Wizard is finished, edit the task and cusomize the commandline with the neccessary robocopy parameters.
Below it's listed a .vbs script anyway :)
If you want to send our email notifications telling you of teh success/warning/error state of your copyjob, use RoboCopyPlus (www.robocopyplus.com). It adds swicthes like /smtp:servername /from:xxx /to:xxx etc.
It can optionally attach the logfiles to teh message and condense those to show only the warnings and errors.
Cool little tool!

Hi mishalk,
why do you need a script for this?
You could use the robocopy option /MIR which MIRRORS only the changes
