Question

Giving other users access to options on only root commands

I am trying to allow all my users to use the 'abort' command which is mapped to /sbin/shutdown to cancel the daily system shutdown. No matter what I do, I can't get them to have access. Can somebody help me?
I use Red Hat 7.1

you can always replace shutdown with a symlink to your abort script - that way anyone who calls shutdown gets your abort script
