Boot fedora 7 in command prompt to fix problem with X window

Hello Experts.  I was trying to configure dual head on my fedora desktop (7)   and somehow set the resolution too high for laptop screen.  So now I cant boot into the system as all I get is a blank white screen.  Can someone tell me how to boot into command mode and reset the screen resolution?
