Question on dd comand.

i have a 128MB flash drive and 2GB flash drive.

128MB flash drive was previously configured as win98 bootable.

2GB one was just bought it today.

i intend to clone the 128MB to 2GB so that i can boot use
the 2GB as a bootable disk.

so i use the following command.

dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb

sda is 128MB and sdb is 2GB


though all the files had been copied correctly (i have checked the number of files and its size) but when i tried to boot from
the 2GB flash drive.. it doesn't work.

Is there any explanation to this? Thanks.Start Free Trial
