Browse All TopicsHi,
I'm not being able to install Subversion in my Red Hat box. Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I found the RPM here: http://gregorytomlinson.co
$ rpm -ivh subversion-1.3.2-1.rhel4.i
error: Failed dependencies:
libneon.so.24 is needed by subversion-1.3.2-1.i386
neon >= 0.24.7 is needed by subversion-1.3.2-1.i386
Suggested resolutions:
/var/spool/up2dateneon-0.2
First but not really important: The missing slash in the suggested resolutions is just weird and makes me think that something is not configured properly.
So I try installing the missing dependency by doing:
rpm -ivh neon-0.24.7-4.src.rpm
1:neon ##########################
Apparently this installs without a problem but when I try to reinstall subversion I get the same exact error.
Some info you might find useful
$ cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 7)
I'm trying to install this in my Linux box hosted under Rackspace (they apparently don't support Subversion so told me to install at my own risk)
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hmmm apparently I was using the wrong neon rpm!
I tried the correct one and everything installed fine.
