httpd.conf apears blank in apache2?

Hi all, i have a Linux Server running Debian etch with apache2. I have the web server running fine but when i just tried to edit the httpd.conf (nano /etc/apache2/httpd.conf) i found the file to be blank!

I normally edit this file so need access to it. Any ideas why the file would apear blank? I have checked the file exists (ls /etc/apache2) and it is there.

I havent come across thos before.

any ideas?
